Initial coins of Pragmalji II are confusing. In the beginning he issued coins with the name of Victoria, like the present coin, but suddenly he stopped name of Victoria as well as his own name on his copper coins and issued anonymous coins with denominatin, date and mint name. His earliest coins with his own name are dated 1860 for 1 Kori and 1862 for ½ Kori with the title Bahadur. The Kori is knonwn by only a solitary specimen in a museum collection, while the ½ Kori of Bahadur type is known in a private collection. The present coin is Second known coin of this rare type.
