Minor test marks, otherwise Very Fine, Extremely Rare.
Nisar coins as a general rule were minted in the lower fractions like ¼ Rupee or 1/8 Rupee and like and were rarely minted in the ½ Rupee weight standard. A simple reason for not issuing such heavy coins was that these were thrown or scattered while the King was passing through in a Royal Procession. Had these coins were so high like 5 grams, the fall of them on heads of people around the Procession would be hurt. Another financial reason was to save money by use of small fractions and at the same time get the credit of scattering coins!
