Withdrawn: Seringapatam Medal, East India Company Medal For Seringapatam, Bronze Medal, 56.06 g, 50 mm, 1799, Soho Mint, the British Lion defeating the Tiger of Mysore (Tipu Sultan) with the date of the capture of the fortress on 4th May 1799 below on obverse; reverse depicts the assault on the fortress of Seringapatam with Persian inscription at bottom. In Mint State, with luster, Very Rare. The British and Native troops of the Bengal Presidency engaged in the siege and who took part in the renewed campaign against Tipu Sultan were awarded this medal in 1808 by the East India Company.
