Ibrahim Shah (AD 1402-1440), Gold, 11.42 g, Tanka, without Tughra style, Fi Zaman type on obv, Jaunpur mint (Rajgor# 2707; G&G# J2). Almost UNC and Extremely Rare in this grade.
Ibrahim Shah is the first ruler whose coins are known in Jaunpur Sultanate. It seems that his gold and silver coins were issued after he conquered in to Bengal under the Sultans of Bengal. His coins are modeled on those Bengal issues and are direct result of those coins. Although his gold coins of Tughra style are reported quite often, this type without the Tughra is quite rare.
