Travancore State, Bala Rama Varma I (AD 1798-1810), Silver Fanam Coin Tray, Silver, 127 g, 175 x 175 mm, with three legs beneath. The Silver Serving Tray is made entirely of Chuckram / Fanam coins of ND Variety, minted between AD 1600-1860, KM# C 11). In making of this rare tray, in all 227 Chuckram Coins have been utilized. The Tray has been made of silver bars representing branches, and the flowers on the branches are made of these coins. The outer border of the Tray is also made of the Chuckram coins. Even the three legs behind the Tray have been made of these coins. This Silver Coin Tray seems to be made for a wealthy businessman or a highly placed politician of Travancore State who could afford such a luxury. A numismatic antique piece of very high importance and Extremely Rare to come across.
